E3 2010 - Nintendo

June 27, 2010

As you can see I'm writing an article based on something that has already ended a week ago. How punctual.

But seriously, I hadn't got the time to write my opinions on this year's E3 expo in LA, so I'll just be talking about the stuff that really caught my eye.

Nintendo showcased some really awesome games for the Wii, such as Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Donkey Kong Country Returns, a remake of Goldeneye 007, and Kirby's Epic Yarn.

Link? Right-handed?

Looks like fun :)

Graphics not really impressive, but seems like fun.

OMG Cuteness Overload! :D

But what really stole the show was the introduction of Nintendo's upcoming handheld console, the 3DS.

It looks like an ordinary DS, but it has a wider top screen, an anolog stick, an extra camera, and best of all, a 3D depth slide, allowing for games and videos in 3D. The graphics are better too, from the video, it seems more detailed and smoother than the PSP.

But what really caught my eye was the games. Not only were there a new Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, and remakes of Star Fox 64 and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, there were lots of third-party support this time around, such as Metal Gear Solid 3, Kingdom Hearts, Dead or Alive and Street Fighter 4. Just to name a few.

The best 3DS game so far in my reckoning? Kid Icarus: Uprising.

EPIC!

That's all from me about Nintendo's E3 showcase, Microsoft and Sony post coming soon so STAY TUNE :)
