I'm pretty sure not much people have heard of MGMT, but they should. It's not just the electro music at the background that's good, but the song as a whole, is just brilliant :)
Hey! Just found out MGMT are coming to Malaysia! Around March/April :D
Their songs never fail to make me laugh, their last album was great, well cause it featured some hilarious tracks (Boombox and Like a Boss to name a few). Hopefully the new album (this song in it) gets even better! :D
How many songs have we seen with Akon in the past years? Sexy Bitch, Shut it Down, Hold My Hand and now this? That's a bloody lot!
LOL Katy Perry Fireworks parody at the end. The look on Akon's face... PRICELESS.
I came as a shock to me when they announced about the release of Jackson's new album, titled 'Michael' (loving the cover art). EXTRA REVENUE FOR THE COMPANY, I'll say >:(
The first song they featured, 'Breaking News' was a song that I'll give a 6/10 (haven't the slightest idea to explain the song), but THIS, the duet with Akon, is a completely different story. A song that I'll give roughly 8/10 (Yet again, unexplainable for me).
But...... with the song called 'Hold My Hand', there ain't much hand holding in the video, mostly just people waving their hands and such :P
On a side note, does Akon look a tad...... chubbier in the video? His face looks bigger than the ones shown on the album covers :S
*Gosh, I forgot to do this yesterday. Please forgive me :(*
Bruno Mars' back with a new single 'Grenade'
So, apparently, in the music video, Mars drags a piano just to play a song for a lady, but when finding out that the lady was with someone else, he got depressed and commits suicide by getting himself rammed by a train, along with the piano.
Man, that is one sad tale. SLAY THAT WOMAN! D:<
P.S. Bruno Mars has 7 Grammy nominations! Huzzah! :D
LOL I featured "Only Girl" only like a month ago :P
Being the second single from her latest album, Loud, Rihanna brings in her her ex-boyfriend Drake for vocals. But Drake only sings in around 40 seconds of the song! And he appears in the almost the entirety of the video! XD
I'm liking Loud, particularly "Cheers (Drink to That)" which has voice samplings from Avril Lavigne's older song "I'm With You". Really wished Lavigne made a featured act instead (she's one of the MANY writers for Cheers).
10 bucks say that "Love the Way You Lie Part 2" is gonna be the next single.
Wow, the last time I featured Far East Movement was barely a month ago! :P
Another featured appearance for a FEM song, this time with the lead of OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder. Now I'm starting to think that FEM is the next B.o.B. (check out the track listing of his album!)
But Tedder's appearance is a welcome addition :)
Like this song? Hot off the heels from his previous FEM parody, comes a callaboration between nigahiga, kevjumba and chestersee, SHED A TEAR!
Note: This song has been overdue for a few weeks now, because lots of new music videos came out in the last few weeks and I ended up pushing this back :(
This song is awesome! Not only does it have profanity in it, it...... it's really catchy. 'College Years' Cee Lo Green is pretty creepy too 0_0
If you're either in a inappropriate place, or just hate listening to profanity in songs, here's the censored version, but it's badly cropped and the music doesn't sync properly with the video. So, go watch the uncensored one anyway :P
Katy Perry's new album is just awesome. Apart from a few songs (*cough*Circle the Drain*cough*), I pretty much liked all the songs on Teenage Dream, and this song, "Firework" is up there with her best work.
This song... is so soothing. It gives us the message that, well, I think it goes like this: everyone is special in their own way, so don't be afraid and instead show what we're worth! EXAMPLES from the video include: Being openly gay and erm... diving into a pool.
Watching through the video and... WOAH! Fireworks from the chest! It kinda reminded me of the cream gun from "California Gurls" but well, everyone else in the video has fireworks popping from their chests. Apparently, it means... oh damn, I have no idea myself :(
OMG almost everything in the video is pink! My eyes!
When was Rihanna's last album (Rated R) out? Last year was it? Well, she's gonna have a new album 'Loud' is gonna be out next month, and 'Only Girl' is the first single. I must say that was fast!
This's the second single from Maroon 5's latest album, Hands All Over.
Actually, I preferred their previous single "Misery" over this. The music video too is not as good too (but still loads better than Misery's UK edition). Well, watch it for yourself, it's pretty boring, but the song IS good!
Take That is like...... the best British band that ever existed. I first heard their song "Rule the World" when watching Stardust in 2007, and I must say, their songs are just plain good.
Their new song, The Flood, was first broad casted on British radio this morning(!) and I found it really, really good, maybe even better than "Rule the World". And Robbie Williams' back too!
Did you hear? After like nearly 15 years, Robbie Williams has now rejoined Take That!
This song is actually written and sang by Robbie William and his former band mate (Take That) Gary Barlow. And this also marks the the first time these 2 guys are working together after Robbie left Take That.
I love the song, as it has a very pleasant tune to it, hopefully this is brought into Take That's upcoming album, if I'm not mistaken would be out in November.
The music video? Pretty disturbing at the end. Watching 2 guys strip in front of each other a'la Brokeback Mountain is very, very disturbing to my eyes. And the way they look at each other? I'm not comfortable with that.
First reaction to video: "Blek! Cereal in the sink? Disgusting!"
Why does loads of B.o.B.'s songs have to feature at least one artist? We've had Bruno Mars and Hayley Williams so far, and now the front-man of Weezer, Rivers Cuomo has joined the long list of artists featured on his debut album.
But it ain't necessarily a bad thing. The featured artists actually make the song loads better, cause it'll get pretty boring with just rapping from B.o.B, and this song with Rivers Cuomo is no exception.
