June 22, 2009My first-try at DOTA
Today my family and I went to IKEA to do some window-shopping (LOL sound like we're buying windows) and we ended up going to IKANO. Me and my dad went to the Sony Centre there to look at some cameras and laptops.
While browsing through the laptops, I came across one with DOTA on! Due to it's massive popularity in school (and the whole country) I decided to try it out myself.
I wasn't sure how to start, but random-clicking got me started. I seem to have started off as a ghoul or a goblin sort of creature which looks kinda retarted. Menu seems accessible, with the move and attack buttons listed at the bottom, but there's one thing I know from this: it's hard to play the game without a mouse. Without a mouse, this game is probrably unplayable.
When I started, I was thinking: what now? Then I noticed the map which had different other areas in it, so I went scouting from them. When I reached one, giant spiders came out of nowhere and killed my people (or slaves, which I prefer to call them). That time, I was like "What just happened!?" and soon, unknown creatures started attacking my base, which just made the situation worse! I was put off by that and just closed the game.
Oh well, I guess DOTA isn't a game I would play.
